Live From London
Two of London’s most innovative musical organisations come together to present Colliding Worlds
Two of London’s most innovative musical organisations come together to present Colliding Worlds, in which old meets new and the natural world meets the challenges of the 20th Century. The London Contemporary Orchestra performs one of Philip Glass’s most loved masterpieces, Glassworks. Glass’s Vessels, from the cult movie Koyaanisqatsi (meaning “life out of balance”) will be performed by VOCES8 and Apollo5 who also sing the world premiere of a new commission by Russian/British/Ghanaian composer and producer Afrodeutsche. The concert will include an arrangement by Robert Ames of Ascent, composed by the Oscar winning Hildur Guðnadóttir, from VOCES8’s upcoming new album, Infinity.
