The sitarist and composer performs her critically-acclaimed ‘Chapters’ series with the Prague Symphony Orchestra and British conductor Robert Ames.
Over the past 25 years, Anoushka Shankar has forged a singular path, combining her deep grounding in Hindustani classical music with an adventurous, collaborative spirit.
Her recent trilogy of mini-albums, Chapters, traces an emotional journey from trauma to renewal across three distinct musical worlds. At Prague Sounds, Shankar presents Chapters in its acclaimed orchestral form, bringing the trilogy together as a single, continuous work. Following its celebrated premiere at last year’s BBC Proms, this special performance with Robert Ames, the Prague Symphony Orchestra, and Shankar herself promises to be a highlight of the festival’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
