Daniel Wohl and Arooj Aftab
Many worlds will come together in a new programme of works by Daniel Wohl. Robert Ames conducts the specialists of the London Contemporary Orchestra.

They form a golden duo: in a remarkably short time, Arooj Aftab has emerged as one of today’s most exciting and sought-after vocalists and songwriters, moving freely between her unique blend of musical influences. Daniel Wohl is among the most adventurous composers of his generation, with a body of work ranging from immersive electronic pieces to music for film, television, chamber ensembles, and full orchestra. This performance features both existing and new works by the duo.
Aftab will perform songs from her albums Night Reign and Vulture Prince, as well as classical compositions she created with Wohl. The pieces are brought to life by the groundbreaking London Contemporary Orchestra, who previously performed at Holland Festival with Sigur Rós in 2023.
Their first collaboration, Rise, Again (2022), melded diverse musical worlds into a powerful social and emotional narrative. Wohl and Aftab combine innovative musical techniques with profound emotional depth, creating a performance that resonates both intellectually and viscerally.
