Hildur Guðnadóttir has established herself as one of the most innovative and influential composers of our time. With an unmistakable talent for combining intimacy and organic soundscapes with great emotional impact, she has forged a distinct musical voice across film and television, including her Oscar-winning score for Joker and the widely acclaimed series Chernobyl. She moves effortlessly between classical, experimental and cinematic soundscapes, with the cello and a deep sense of human presence at the heart of her work.
This Will Be Us forms part of Guðnadóttir’s 20th-anniversary celebrations and presents a new symphonic programme that reinterprets key works in new orchestral arrangements. The performance includes music from albums such as Without Sinking, Mount A, Saman, Baer, Ascent and Erupting Light, as well as highlights from her film score for Joker and newly composed works.
